Let me take you down to the Southwest Corner of Georgia to Calhoun County. Calhoun County is about 45 miles from Albany and away from the hustle and bustle of “city” life. Our county is home to the largest commercial vineyard and it’s award-winning wines and it is home to the City of Edison. Edison is home to some of the best folks you will ever meet! Edison, GA is home to the Calhoun County School System and to Pataula Charter Academy. Most recently, Edison’s own CCHS Lady Cougars became the 2021 GHSA Class A Basketball State Champions. From buying groceries at West Foods, to getting your prescriptions filled at Lane Drug Company, or ordering a delicious supper from Walker’s Bistro; Edison has everything you need in your day to day life. If you are looking to venture out, you don’t have to go far. Within 20 miles of Edison you can go wine tasting at Still Pond Winery, climb the mounds at Kolomoki Mounds State Park, or tour the farms at White Oak Pastures.
