Public Notice

The City of Edison has received complaints regarding ABANDONED OR INOPERABLE VEHICLES and WEEDS AND DEBRIS on properties in the city limits of Edison. In addition, to being unsightly they are also a safety and sanitation hazard that can endanger public health.

Therefore, the City of Edison is asking for the cooperation of property owners and tenants to assist in removing these hazards. Properties that are in violation of the City Ordinance will be notified in writing of the violation(s) and the procedure to eliminate the nuisance. Failure to remove the nuisance in the given time may result in a summons to municipal court and a fine of up to $500.00 dollars. Inoperable vehicles may be removed by the city at the owner’s expense after 15 days from the time of notification.
